Each review is worth 100% total. Each individual category (Music, Plot, Character, Animation style, and Basic Impression) all equate to 20% of that 100%. You'll notice that the categories have individual ratings that are out of 10. Each one of these points is worth 2% points.
Categories - The following section is to give you an idea of what helps a reviewer rate the categories.
Music
- Did
the music work well with the anime? Would I want to listen to the music
over and over?
Plot - Was the plot fascinating? Did it make you keep watching
it? Did it seem pointless?
Character - Were the character's well-developed or just thrown
in?
Animation style - Did it look like something I could throw together
in my basement or does it look like it took more effort than that?
Basic Impression - Basically this is just whether the reviewer
liked the anime or not.
In the end though most of the ratings come down to whether the reviewer liked what the anime had to offer in that particuliar category or not.
The Overall rating is the average of the reviewers individual ratings for a particuliar anime. This average is represented by a number of gems. One Gem being the lowest score possible and five being the highest. These are equatable to grades (A, B, C, D, and F).

The Overall Rating is always located on the individual anime's page just below the main picture and above the introductory summary. This space is sometimes occupied by other messages such as "Not Yet Rated", or "Not Rated - Lack of Interest". Look at the following for explainations of each of those messeges.
Not Yet Rated: As of yet this series has no overall rating but it probably will in the future.
Not Rated - Lack of Interest: None of the reviewers wanted to continue watching that series after a certain point. To put it mildly the anime was not worth the time put into watching it for one reason or another. If your interested in the specific reasons why an anime was "dropped" you can find that in the more detailed Reviews section.
The Reviewers currently consist of three members which are Sailor X, Duo, and Solar. Keep in mind our tastes may differ from yours and don't take our reviews personally.
At this time we aren't accepting any new reviewers.

Q. Have you seen [Insert Anime Title]?
Please don't ask us this. If we have it'll turn up soon enough.
Q. Why haven't you reviewed [Insert Anime Title]?
If it's an anime listed on the site we probably haven't finished watching it. If the anime is marked "Not Rated - Lack of Interest" there should be some reviews that explain why that series was dropped.
Q. Why did you rate [Insert Anime Title] so low? You should keep watching it. It gets better.
You can read the reviews to find out why that anime got such a low score. The series may get better but with all the anime that's available out there I don't really want to suffer waiting for this one series to get better.
Q. Where do you get your information?
Some information comes from just watching the series, some comes from official anime sites and books, and some comes from other websites. We do doublecheck the information with multiple sources when necessary like on older series that no longer have official sites to reference.
Q. Will you fansub [Insert Anime Title]?
We are NOT fansubbers. So no.
Q. Where can I download [Insert Anime Title]?
Please don't ask this question. You should purchase the anime.
Q. I never got a response to my e-mail. Why not?
You probably didn't put anything in the subject heading that let us know that it wasn't spam. It would be helpful if you also included the title of this site in the subject. Please try again.
